Our new Shine-Stopping Formula can give you dramatic matte finish results if your baby is too shiny. Look at these pictures of our product demonstrated on a Genesis painted reborn that has become shiny over the years of play and display.

Many newborn babies have gently mottled, rather blotchy looking skin. This realistic look is meticulously duplicated on your reborn. Our Ultra Matte Medium will not cover up baby's delicate mottling, blushing, or veining features. Example shows a Genesis baby that has developed shine over the year being rejuvinated with our Ultra Matte Medium. Be sure to pounce on very, very light coatings of the Ultra Matte. A little goes a long way.

Works on Air Dry or Genesis Painted Reborns Only use Ultra Matte on a Finished Genesis Reborn that has already been completely heat set Before applying any final coating to your project... make sure every layer of paint on your reborn doll has had enough time to completely cure (dry). Use a dry texture pouncer or stipple sponge to dab Ultra Matte Medium all over finished baby and let air dry. No Heat Setting is Necessary

We recommend pouncing your final layer of Ultra Matte so the textured layer will refract light and further eliminate the potential for un-natural shine. Skin comes to life with texture!

AIR-DRY PAINT ENHANCER

Your Ultra Matte Medium can be blended in directly with your Air Dry paint colors on your palette to make your paint colors more blendable on the reborn doll's surface, also the Ultra Matte enhances adhesion of your paints to the doll because it also functions as a sealer. Include a dab of Ultra Matte to your thinned color washes to assure blendability and good adhesion of your detail work.

CLEAR MATTE LAYER SEALER

If you paint with Air Dry Paints then you can also use Ultra Matte Medium as a foundation layer or as a Layer Sealing Medium so that your top detail work doesn't disturb your foundational blushing, mottling and veining work you have already completed on the doll. I also use Ultra Matte before I paint my eyebrows so the detail work is easier to erase or correct if I make a mistake. After I paint on my reborn's eyebrows I can also seal them with the Ultra Matte.

BLENDING MEDIUM

Your Ultra Matte Medium can be used in the same manner as your Results Gel. You can spot correct as you Air Dry Paint your Baby. I balance my use of Ultra Matte with my use of the Results Gel - use sparing amounts of either.

CREME FORMULA AIR-DRY PAINT THINNER

Your Ultra Matte Medium is great for preventing Air Dry paint from clumping or streaking as you use it. It works similar to a concentrated creme-formula thinner for your Air Dry Reborn Painting projects.

No other medium I know of can do what the Ultra Matte Medium does. It is great for finished and rooted babies that get shiny as you only have to spot correct and the best part is that no heat application is necessary - Ultra Matte is self sealing and air dries

Remember to allow all painted layers on reborn to completely cure dry before finishing with a top coat...If you are using Ultra Matte Medium on a Genesis painted baby, be sure entire baby is completely painted and cured before using Ultra Matte to spot shine correct. Only use Ultra Matte on Finished Genesis Reborn Babies that have already been completely heat set. Do not heat set the Ultra Matte, it will air dry on it's own and does not require heat application to dry. Never paint on a thick layer of any varnish when you are trying to avoid shine...Less is better

These Paint Mediums dry enough for a second coat in approx 20 min and are Permanently Dry in about a Day!

Use Ultra Matte right out of the jar - Application is best with a pouncer or stipple sponge. Remember Less is Best when using Ultra Matte. Apply sparingly in light coatings - - allow each application to dry before continueing. Ultra Matte can be thinned or toned down with water before it dries
